DMCA Notice
If you believe material on humroom infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice per 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)(A). Your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (such as a URL).
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Counter-Notice
If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district, or if outside the United States, to the jurisdiction of any judicial district in which humroom may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
Restoration Window
Following a valid counter-notice, humroom will restore the removed material within 10 to 14 business days, unless the original complaining party notifies us that they have filed a court action to restrain the alleged infringement.
Repeat Infringer Policy
humroom terminates the accounts of creators who are determined to be repeat infringers. A repeat infringer is a creator who has had content removed due to valid DMCA notices on two or more occasions.
Misrepresentation Warning
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may result in liability for damages including costs and attorney's fees under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).
